Close call

I don’t know what happened, everything was working just fine. But when I turned on my laptop last night to make backups of my files, nothing happened. All I get is the Windows loading screen and nothing more.

What really made me worry was the fact that all of Timothy’s digital photos were in the hard drive, and have yet to be transferred to disc. Not to mention all my work and other files.

I have yet to tell Kitchie because I don’t want to worry her… especially since she is making plans to have all of Tim’s photos printed. I was thinking of informing her of the situation if either I could not do anything to save the files, or if my efforts bore fruit. I am so relieved that it will be the latter.

I had several theories in salvaging my files but nothing worked. Good thing someone was able to help me, and as I am writing this, I am backing up all my files on another computer. Thanks again Jerry!

The daunting task of formatting, installing, and downloading components is still ahead of me, but at least my files are not lost. And I will make sure that I will not have to go through this again.

By the way, today is Tim’s 5th month… I cant wait to get home.
