Some more switching

If you’re like me, you probably have multiple instant messaging applications installed to communicate with friends and family using different software. It would not be feasible to try convincing them to use the latest and greatest in im technology, besides, that would be subjective anyway.

So one solution that has been present for quite some time now would be the use of multiple IM network connections on a single client such as Trillian. I was never really interested in using this at first, because older versions never really had the features that well-known messengers have to offer.

Upon visiting their site I noticed that most of the features I wanted has already been built in with version 3.1, and as they said, this one even works faster. So I happily downloaded and installed the software and tested it first. After that, I went ahead and uninstalled the rest of my IM software except Skype and Google Talk which has yet to be supported on the free version.

At the end of the day, my hard drive is lighter and happier… and so am I.
