MacBook Core 2 Duo

Mac enthusiasts around the world rejoice! Apple finally releases the Core 2 Duo versions of their MacBook line, they say its 25% faster… and they actually are shipping it faster than any of their new lines. Now, if you just got your new MacBook you might be hating yourself for not waiting a bit longer… the Christmas season always brings out the latest in products. Patience truly is a virtue, especially in Technology.

I personally have been tracking the developments of the MacBook since I am planning to get one for my wife, and I noticed that the new systems are a bit cheaper as well (at least here in Australia). If that is true, then all the more reason to actually get one.

Since the switch to Intel chips, the cost for Apple systems have indeed dropped, at least at a certain point. Now I have never owned a Mac, but I am planning to get one for myself as well. I have researched on whether it would be best for me to get a Mac or stick to PCs, and since basically everything I use for computing is also available on Apple, then I am a good candidate for the switch… I guess.

I wonder, not thinking about the hefty price tag and the absence of really great gaming titles, is switching truly worth it?
