I finally decided to contact Telstra about their inability to provide broadband access. What prompted me to do so was the constant barrage of advertising material on television, the newspaper and our mailbox for their campaign about providing broadband across Australia is going full stream. Such high hopes for a company that can’t even patch up the black holes they have long neglected to fix.

For now, I won’t be going into much detail about the exchange of communication between myself and Telstra, but suffice to say that they are going out of their way to make it appear that they are doing their best to do something for me, stating “other” Internet plans that are available in our location… then asking for specific details as to where we actually are… and of course, my initial reaction to this was… WTF?

Unfortunately for whoever wrote the reply to my complaint, I am familiar with how things go in situations like these… I mean, do they actually think stating the phrase “I apologise for any inconvenience” three (3) times works in situations like these?

For now, let’s forget about my qualms and ever so growing disgust with a company who is “apparently” so big in Australia that they don’t care about the little people anymore. Unlike them, I am a decent and reasonable guy, and I will be giving them a benefit of the doubt (even if I actually shouldn’t anymore). Let’s see how things go from here before I make a call to consumer affairs.
