I really did win!

Just an update on that email I received recently. Kitchie woke me up Friday morning to some good news. EB Games has delivered right to our door, the prize that I won from signing up on their newly launched Australian website. What did I win? A great looking set of Logitech 5.1 surround sound speakers dubbed the X-540.

Now I’ve always wanted a set of 5.1 speakers for use with my computer. I even remember window shopping for them with Erwin a few weeks before we left the Philippines. But I was quite disappointed when I was informed that unless my system had a 5-channel sound card, I can only make use of it as a standard 2.1 set if not at all. But reading the box, I came across a note that says an adaptor is included which allows the use of the X-540 with any 2-channel card. So of course we were ecstatic! I immediately set it up on an old tv set with a headphone jack, and after pressing the “Matrix Mode” button on the remote… voila! Instant surround sound!

It would probably sound better if we actually had something that has surround capability, but for the meantime, watching TV movies is now made better with this wonderful prize. Thanks again EB Games!
