The weekend is over

As always, it seems like the weekend just flies by really fast. Not really enough time to relax and do everything you like with your family. But I guess that’s what makes quality time more special. We have to make do with what we got, and make the most out of it.
A surprise
On my previous post, I stated how much I miss traditional Filipino treats like taho. The very next Day, Kitchie and Tess went to the grocery to get some stuff. Lo and behold, I woke up to a huge plastic tumbler filled with what else but taho! I knew Kitchie read my blog but I didn’t think she would take it seriously let alone tell Tess about how much I’ve missed and how I blogged about it. Sigh… its great to be loved.
Car hunting
Ben and I were busy this morning looking over Saturday and Sunday’s paper for a used car that Kitchie and I have long been planning to get. No such luck though. It seems like the really good ones are sold as soon as the sun rises. We have to change our strategy if we hope to even see something decent enough.
New Friends
Later in the day, we were invited over the Mañego’s place to give a warm welcome to a couple of Filipino families that recently arrived here in Australia. They reminded me back when we first got here… no family close by in a foreign country. The stress of finding work as soon as possible and thinking about everyone back home. Its just too bad the Sabile family weren’t able to make it. Nonetheles, we hope Daya and her family get settled soon.
It was good being able to chat with friends that I haven’t seen for a while. Time flies really fast when you’re having fun. Speaking of which, 3:35am is still early for me to go to bed in most situations, but having such a busy day as today, I can make an exception.
