The games children play

Back when I was a kid, I remember playing some games for the first time. The kids I used to play with back then, knew a lot about the games we play, so naturally I would just totally suck at it, or they would cheat their way just to get ahead. Rare is the occasion when you find someone that knows a lot and willing to help without expecting anything in return. Having no clue as to the game’s rules, I just played along.
After a while of practice, one tends to learn more, and you get to notice the things that aren’t supposed to be done. I wonder if I should keep my mind off it and let the cheating continue, or stand up and do something about it, so that everyone else including myself will get to enjoy the game as it was meant to be.
Then you’d think, should I play dirty? Having known how things go for a while, the temptation may be too much for other people. But then again, if I do, the lies and deceit will have no end.
For everyone who don’t know how I am, I’ll tell you. I stay silent for a while, observing, wondering if things will change for the better, or if things continue the way they are. I leave things well enough alone for the former, and take appropriate action otherwise.
