Long drive

We officially went on our first long drive yesterday… together with friends on an eight-car convoy to travel to Victor Harbour for lunch, and then to Goolwa for some cockle shell digging.
Despite Tim being afraid of the waves, the trip was a great experience for the entire family, being able to enjoy the scenery and learning about the different places at the same time. It also gave us the chance to see where we could take visiting family members when they do arrive here. I would’ve been better if more of our friends were able to join us… maybe next time.
It was only today at lunch were we able to taste the fruits of our labor, more than enough cockle shells to go around. It also gave us the chance to celebrate a dear friend’s birthday (which was actually yesterday). Again, happy birthday Greg!
