Reminiscing

For the past couple of days now, I have been thinking about the past… how we were in the Philippines. I remember the times when we were still living in Scout Torillo, where everything was close by. If we wanted coffee or food late at night, we literally just walked there.

Now, my day consists of work, home and taking the family out for the weekends. But it is during those days when I feel the difference. Yes, life is better here in Australia, the environment and culture would definitely be a good thing for a growing boy like Timothy. But the two most important things in our lives are not present… family and friends.

Having Inang over for a few weeks made me realize how much I miss family back home. Yes, Kitchie and Timothy are my family now, but every time I see Kitchie missing her family, I feel just as bad.

Here’s hoping we get to see family soon.
