I might have well jumped the gun when I spoke about how good the new version of WordPress is. Just a few days after the upgrade, I have already noticed some annoyances that, while minor, can actually stack up over time if not fixed.

The first thing on my list is in adding media. Although it is good to be able to add media other than just photos with a click of a button, I along with many others have been experiencing issues with it not actually uploading an image. WordPress has given some workarounds until the issue has actually been solved. I have my browsers updated and so is my Flash plugin, but I just can’t seem to get it to work. I even tried using the no Flash plugin but the results are the same.

Another thing I discovered recently was issues with the backup utility. Everything seems to go well until the actual download or sending via email of the backup file. I didn’t have much time to experiment on this further, so I am unsure of whether this is an issue with WordPress or my own setup. This is the first time I am having issues with WordPress.

On a lighter note, two thumbs up to Aaron Harp for trying to help me with the Fotobook plugin issue. Unfortunately, I am still unable to import any of my photos despite my changing album privileges on Facebook.

I have come across with something however when I was using Safari. It seems to me that a number of files for the plugin are either having difficulty loading, or not loading at all. I am not sure if this is the actual cause of the errors, but here is a screenshot of the Safari status bar while I was attempting import. The number of files loaded can’t seem to cope up with the actual files to be loaded. Or, could have something to do with the import album status bar of the plugin timing out during import?

Cheers to ImageShack for dealing with my previous issues and for hosting the images on this post.
