Tim's nightmare

As I was working in my office, I was startled by the sound of Timothy screaming in the other room. Kitchie woke up to the sound as well… it being the first time we heard Tim do it. And as I was making my way to where they were, I heard him specifically looking for me.

As it turns out, Timothy experienced his first nightmare, and apparently it was about me being very sick. No matter what we did to try and appease him, he wouldn’t let me leave without brining him with me… kinda like making sure I was really feeling okay. So, I didn’t have a choice but bring him to the other room as I wasn’t finished with my daily Web work.

He was with me in the office for a good fifteen minutes, and all the while he kept asking about me… like if I was okay, and how was work. There was an occasional request of songs from him. His recent favorites are Rihanna’s “Don’t Stop the Music” and Yael Naim’s “New Soul”.

And as part of the routine every time Timothy is in front of the computer with me, he asks to watch his mom’s current project of various photos of him set to the song New Soul… we guess that’s why he probably likes the song… it probably reminds Timothy of what his mom is doing for him.

I was eventually able to get Tim to go back and sleep in the other room, but there was quite a bit of negotiation at first. I had to promise that I will get to bed as soon as my work here is done. Blogging about what happened is the last on my list so, until next time…
