Shaved heads

Kitchie had been wanting to give both Timothy and I a good haircut for sometime now. Yes, the price of haircuts around here are expensive enough to prompt us to get our own shears and do our own hair… well, at least for Timothy and myself that is.

Since we started giving Timothy haircuts, it has always been through regular scissors while I on the other hand get the electric clipper treatment, something which I have grown fond of even before we left the Philippines. But today, we decided to give little Timothy the big boy haircut and use the clippers on him. Kitchie hesitated at first, but when she saw how it looked like, she was as excited as I was. Tim was no different either. He ticklish at first, but then he said he liked it a lot. It probably had something to do with the vibration of the clippers giving somewhat of a subtle massaging sensation.

Although it was my first time giving Timothy a haircut by myself, I must say the result wasn’t bad at all. Not only did it look good, it also made kissing his head all the more better, less hair to get in the way of my little son’s skin.

This little event was such a bonding experience for us that even way after it was over, we all still handled Tim’s smooth head. We kiss it more now, and Tim does the same for me, every so often putting his hand on my head and rubbing gently. The feeling is multiplied because I wouldn’t have imagined that my son would show affection in such a way.

Afterwards, we did a little goofing around with some photos and enjoyed the rest of Anzac Day watching movies.
