Just us boys

This past Monday, Timothy and I gave Kitchie some time for her to go and meet up with friends… I had a lot to do, and she was cooped up in the house so we thought it would be a good idea for her to relax. So it was father and son bonding time again for us boys.
Believe it or not… this geek was able to resist the temptation of getting in front of the computer, not even to just check email! I spent most of the day with Tim just watching dvds, playing and goofing around in front of the camera.
It was also the day when Timothy started to put together his old building blocks together high enough that it was difficult for him to keep them straight. Each time they would fall, Timothy would be frustrated, coming to me for help and asking why they don’t stay together. I explained to him a couple of times, and even showed him how best to do it. Amazingly, he was able to catch on pretty quick… stacking them higher than he used to before. He still gets irritated when they fall to the floor as it gets too high, but I just told him to keep on trying until he gets to what he wants.
I just love times like these, because not only do I spend time with my little boy, bit it also makes me appreciate Kitchie even more. I only had a day with hyper Timothy and I was really tired after. I could imagine how Kitchie goes through everyday when I am away at work.
Timothy and I will be alone with each other again as Kitchie will be attending a conference this Saturday. I am still not sure as to how we will go about the day, maybe stay at home, maybe go to the mall or a little of both. Whatever it will be, I am sure we will have a great time. I can’t wait for the weekend!
Today marks the 110th Independence Day of the Philippines. My family and I would like to wish everyone the best in their celebrations. We all wish we were there to celebrate with you.
