Toy Sale - Big W

I remember the first time we got here in Adelaide. I didn’t have work yet, we really didn’t know much about the place, and what most people consider junk mail were the only things that kept us from getting totally bored. What’s more, the catalogues gave us the chance to learn about how Australians shop… which were the best places and when was the right time to do the bulk of it.

The downside is that every week there’s just a heap of catalogues that we have to make sure we get rid of, to avoid making a mess out of the place. So I was equally excited when Kitchie informed me of Lasoo, a website that features the latest catalogues for Australian retailers. Now, we can see any of them even if they were not on our letterbox. They even offer sneak peeks of upcoming sales and whatnot.

The end of the financial year is one of the two best times to some shopping, be it out of necessity or just for the plain fun of it. At this time, there are lots of retailers doing stock take sales, and if you’re smart and careful, you will certainly end up with a good deal.

We noticed that the most expensive everyday items would be the stuff for children. Clothing is almost the same for adults in terms of pricing, and the toys… you see you kid having fun playing with the thing, and as a parent, consider getting it for them, until you see the price.

So when this time of year comes, most if not all people with children in their lives make sure to come and get whatever it is their little bundle of joy wants… and maybe a little something for the coming Christmas season too. Kitchie and I haven’t been to any of these so far, but the upcoming toy sales from the major retailers here seem to fit in with my work schedule, so we will probably take a look this time around.
