Extensions make the browser

It has been a while since the fox was unleashed to the public. And I must admit, using it since its release made my reasons for switching to Camino vanish into thin air. I still keep Camino a close second, as it is still a really good browser, but for now, Firefox remains supreme here at home. The internet is a fickle world after all.
Aside from its speed of rendering pages, the availability of extensions made a big impact on how I have been browsing the internet. Although some of my browsing habits and needs changed, there are still quite a few Firefox extensions that are near and dear to my heart.
Here they are in no particular order:
Delicious Bookmarks
Anyone and everyone bookmarking websites would definitely want this inside their Firefox toolbox. Aside from normal bookmarks, Delicious Bookmarks enable you to access these sites outside your computer. Better yet, you can even share the sites you bookmark.
Download Statusbar
I just love Download Statusbar for its simplicity and the amount of information you can display on any and all of your active downloads. Long have I been annoyed with the default download window and notification of all browsers, and this little add-on gave me freedom from it all.
DownThemAll!
Like most people, I have neither the time or patience to wait for a download to complete and then be able to click on another one. There may be a lot of download managers, but DownThemAll! to me is one of the best ones out there. It integrates nicely with Firefox and allows me to just setup everything and then leave it. When I get back, everything would have been downloaded and placed where I want them.
FireFTP
I myself use the built-in FTP feature of Dreamweaver, and maybe once in a while whip out Cyberduck for some other chores. But no self-respecting web dude would rely on just 2 applications, well, at least that’s what I think. Enter FireFTP. I can no longer remember the number of times this handy add-on has saved me from applications hanging and the need to reboot just to get Dreamweaver back on.
PicLens
This is my most recent (and a current favorite) add-on. If you love Cover Flow on iTunes, then you can do the same thing viewing photos on your browser using PicLens. This works wonders especially when viewing photo sites like Flickr.
On a slightly different note, Mozilla just released their Firefox 3.01 update for all platforms. It is recommended for all version 3 users. I have tested the above mentioned extensions on this new version, and everything is working perfectly.
