WordPress

The much-awaited Wordpress app [iTunes link] for the iPhone and iPod Touch is now available for download. And as the geek that I am, tried with this post.

There are still some things I need to try. For example, the possibility of integrating photos on a post. As of now, I don’t have much time to fiddle with it so I just logged in using my desktop and added an image manually.

Despite some difficulty with the Touch interface, the WordPress app seems pretty solid, and I like the idea of being to control more than just a single instance of WordPress. But I’m sure that this will be a very handy toll for anyone who has a standalone installation running versions 2.5.1 or higher, or a free hosted blog.

You can go read more about the new app at its official website.

Update

I have been able to do a little more playing around with the new app and you can actually add photos that are either in your photo library or taken with the iPhone’s camera. Yup, tough luck for iPod Touch owners. If you want to upload a photo to your blog, you will have to get it in your library first by either syncing or going to a website and downloading a certain photo via Safari.
