Our schedule finally permitted us to take a look at one of the nearby preschools, and we are glad to say that little Timothy will finally begin his first steps in education next month.

Why only now you ask? Well, unlike some of my friends’ children based in the Philippines who already started school months ago, we couldn’t really do anything about it even if we wanted to… until now. Australians want to give their children the best education (as with any parent), but would first like them to do whatever it is children love to do at their first few years. This also gives us the parents the chance to enjoy our kids.

So early yesterday, we took the time to bring Tim to the school and schedule him for the start of next month’s sessions. It looks like the little boy is eager to go run about and be with children his age, as he immediately made a couple of friends.

While we were talking to the school’s staff, he asked if he could join a couple of girls painting… which he did. The outcome of which is pictured above. It’s really nice to know that our son is artistically inclined not only in singing and dancing, but with painting as well.

I can only speak for myself when I say that I am both anticipating and dreading the time when Tim starts school. For one, its really good to see how he’s developed so much. But I will definitely miss the times when he’s just at home. And I know it will only get worse for me as time passes by. Oh well, that’s how life is… I just have to make the most out of it.
