A month away

Christmas is but a month away. And, as a true-blooded Filipino, we already had our tree out a month ago from today. Why that early? Well, aside from the fact that we wanted to see the holiday spirit early, it was in fact the first time we as a family were able to put up a tree of our very own.
There is still a bit of tech with the tree… that is, the lights are entirely LED. This means less power consumption, very minimal heat (if any), and the cool factor of the light pulses are just totally relaxing, especially knowing that they will not melt the tree or your pocket.
I remember as a child when, the time for putting up the tree meant that the season every kid has been waiting for the whole year is just around the corner. Timothy is no exception. The excited little boy helped in hanging the Christmas balls and other decorations.
As the holidays come closer, we will be putting up Timothy’s Christmas stocking and slowly place presents under the tree. We’re also planning to have Christmas music, Filipino or otherwise, playing throughout the house (or most of it at least) to make things more interesting.
Although relatives will not be here to celebrate with us, the best part about this coming holiday season is that we are all going to celebrate it together.
