The countdown begins

Last Christmas seemed to be just yesterday. And 24 days from now, we will all be celebrating the birth of Christ once more. Amidst all the difficulties we encounter in this world, we should, even in the most simplest of forms, be able to both celebrate and reflect on what this day means to us.

In our home away from home, little Timothy started a little countdown of his own with the use of a Bob the Builder calendar. As we come closer and closer to Christmas, he is to tear off a part of the calendar to reveal some goodies underneath, usually some lollies or chocolates… I’m not sure really, we haven’t seen it yet.

I am probably more excited for Timothy this Christmas than he is. In fact, I have already collected some Christmas songs to play, as well as purchased a book for us to read come Christmas Eve entitled “An Aussie Night Before Christmas“. I have even been bugging Kitchie about what food we will be having!

The photo above is Timothy enjoying a nice cold drink after the 2008 Credit Union Christmas Pageant.
