The time machine

The past few days I have been somewhat feeling like Marty McFly from the movie Back to the Future. No, I have not stumbled upon the DeLorean (pictured), nor have I been bestowed the gift of foresight.
I have been slowly consuming the vast amount of podcasts and other media that I collected over the past couple of months. And in listening to one of them, I came across a segment about this teenager who ran away because his dad took away his Xbox 360. The father had good reason to do so, stating that ever since playing the game Call of Duty 4, he has noticed that his son has changed his demeanor. The father had good intentions, although his actions may be considered debatable by some.
In this segment, Leo Laporte was helping out in his own way by appealing to the teenager or anyone who knows his location through Leo’s radio show.
It is sad to have been able to read about the outcome in the paper as I was currently listening to the recording.
On a happier note, I arrived home today with David Letterman speaking to then Senator Barack Obama. It was pretty obvious that the show was a rerun, as they were talking about the hopeful’s plans for the country if he manages to make it to the White House. As always, Obama was pretty cool about everything, and even manages to inject some humor once in a while.
Despite the US’ economy in turmoil, I do hope that Obama is able to rise to the occasion and set everything back in order.
I am a Filipino in Australia, but if I actually lived in the US, I would have been an Obama supporter for sure.
