Android in Australia

Mobile phone aficionados and those in the market for a new one around the globe have yet another option, as Google’s mobile phone platform Android reaches the shores down under with Kogan’s Agora and Agora Pro.
As virtually every mobile phone available to the public has a correspondingly absurd phone plan attached to it, a breath of fresh air will soon arrive as Australia and New Zealand (and basically everyone else in the world), can purchase this second handset that features Android.
Most people especially in such a global state of economy that we have, most people are happy with just a functioning phone. With the integration of Google’s applications such as GMail and Google Maps, Android-based mobile phones definitely show promise. The only downside is that aside from HTC, no other major mobile phone manufacturer currently offers this system.
I have not heard of Kogan before, but if their phone actually functions properly, then I’m sure that a lot of people will be clamoring for more. The best part? They will be selling the Agora for AUD $299 and Agora Pro for AUD $399 (prices exclude delivery and other charges) unlocked online. I sure do hope that Apple is taking notice!
