The padawan learns

With the previous release of the computer-generated animation Star Wars Clone Wars, and the consequent airing of its television series, it seems that our little Timothy has been exposed to a little bit of geekdom by actually watching them every day.
He’s still into the normal Pixar and Shrek fare, but as each day passes, his taste in movies grows with him. Still very much with the Iron Man fever, Tim has added the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (specifically Leonardo) to his box of tricks.
Timothy got out one of his toy drum sticks and a shovel from one of his beach packs and started referring to them as swords, while he jumps up and down the sofa, and around everything else.
But this post is all about the padawan learning about Star Wars, so let’s proceed.
At first, I didn’t think much of it when, as we were watching one of the episodes of the tv series, he copied the line of one of the droids saying “Roger, roger”. Funny, but I thought he just liked how it sounded.
Then, he started saying things like “Yes master” and calling out character names like Anakin, C3PO, R2D2 and believe it or not… Ahsoka. That was when I finally realized that it was more than just a show to him… he was actually starting to get into the Star Wars culture like his old man.
As for his lightsaber, he uses the same blue drumstick and waves it around with the unmistakable sounds you hear from the movies and series. Sigh, like father, like son indeed.
