Our first Christmas in Australia was spent at home, not really knowing much about the area and a little bit unsure of the future. Last year, we were fortunate enough to go through with a planned trip to Sydney, and actually make good on an invitation by the Natividads.

This year will again be spent between the three of us, but unlike the first, will definitely be happier and more comfortable. Its is amazing how the year just passes by and how much of a difference it makes. Although we have yet to attain the status we are aiming for, we’re trying our best to get there.

Not to say that spending this Christmas with my family isn’t all that fun, it would definitely be better with having family around during the season. But, we do have to understand certain constraints that each and everyone of us have, especially with how the global economy is performing.

Today was mostly spent playing around with little Timothy… something that I really don’t get to do much often, as well as help Kitchie around the house, and of course do some of the home projects I have yet to complete. I am sure that tomorrow will be pretty much the same, except of for the Christmas Eve preparations that we have to do.

Our little padawan was very vocal about my being around the whole day saying “I’m happy that you are here dad” and the whole hugging and kissing me every so often. I can say that we definitely did a lot of father and son bonding today.

Believe it or not, today was also the first time in about a month or so that I actually have been able to stay online for most of the day. There are still a lot of things to do, but at least I am now able to get back to the computer once in a while. Little Timothy was able to show off his talent in front of lola Cynthia via Skype, as well as greet uncle Jon before he actually left for work.

As for the people over at Baliuag, hopefully Kitchie and Tim will be able to do their exchanges with them tomorrow.
