Camel in the Desert

Like the proverbial camel in the desert, South Australians have truly started to feel the summer heat. Today, we were greeted with a scorching 41° in temperature, and at 40° by 6pm, it didn’t feel like we would get respite.

It didn’t matter if you had the air conditioning up. One way or another, you will move somewhere within the home or office where there is no cooling and you will definitely feel the heat.

I was at work all day, and the few times that I had to walk through semi-exposed corridors, I already felt that I was going to get sick. That is why I feel bad for my family back home, having to go through this kind of weather… but its not like we really have a choice. It is in fact just nature taking its course.

Despite the temperature holding its peak for as long as did, we all got out of the house at a later part of the evening and discovered that a cool change was taking over.

Eating ice cream and drinking lots of ice water helped a lot, but I really wish it was the fall season already.
