Earth Hour '09

Yesterday’s Earth Hour should have been just that… one hour. But I guess the whole family was just tired from walking about at Thorndon Park, that lights off for us lasted a little over 12 hours.
Talk about sleeping in! I guess the past week was just so hectic and tiring for all of us that our bodies just decided to get a break and use the lack of lighting as a good excuse to do so.
Its just too bad… I had a walk outside our place before I went to bed, and only a handful of people actually had their lights off. In fact, our neighbor up front actually had all their lights on… just like the last time. I guess its their way of showing everyone else that they actually do not care.
Not that an hour would actually make a difference on our electricity bills. The thing is, there is actually more to life than just ourselves.
