I received a comment from a previous post about Yearbook Yourself and checking the suggested site, I must say that I feel I just wasted a few minutes of my time.

There are a lot of sites popping up that offer services where you upload one of your photos and insert it on a certain character, personality or situation. Sites such as PhotoFunia, Face in Hole, and Photo2Text just to name a few, all offer fun and unique ways to display your images and share them with family and friends.

In a classic example of a corporation just not getting it, the Philippines’ Globe Telecom launched the HeadShot Clinic, and I actually do not even see a reason why it should be up in the first place. I mean, why would anyone in their right mind take their own photo and insert it on one of these generic shots?

The original photos themselves look pretty good, and my thoughts on this do not reflect the photographers and the models in the images. I just don’t get why companies try to jump on the bandwagon and make such a lame excuse for a copycat job.

A message for Globe… next time you want attention, please try to make it worthwhile. Otherwise, stick to mobiles.
