Our little trooper and Gepps X

Timothy has had his first flu shot ever, and he doesn’t seem to mind it much. He’s had several shots before, mainly to boost his immune system and the like. After a while though, he has been complaining that his arm was aching a bit. Telling him that the pain will go away after a while seemed to appease him, and he is back to his normal self.

Afterwards, we decided to go pay Gepps X a visit. At first, I mistook the Gepps Cross Homemaker Centre. But the stores we were expecting were not there. Actually, after just a few steps, we realized that it couldn’t have been it since the land area was way too small than that advertised. So we just got some sausages from Standom and went on our way.

Leaving the Homemaker Centre, we noticed that the traffic grew, and then we knew that most of the vehicles in queue were probably headed for the same destination. And true enough, after a few minutes, there it was, in its still incomplete glory.

Parking seemed hard to come by, but we were fortunate enough to find a spot right in front of JB HiFi and Harris Scarfe. And since Kitchie has yet to have lunch, we proceeded to look for a place to sit and eat.

We encountered a lot of problems during this outing, but most is probably because the place is pretty new and barely made it out of construction. No proper walkways, no signs pointing to food outlets and toilets. Why, there was actually only a single small restaurant open, and a very small push cart for a coffee shop that only offered 3 coffee variations.

With the amount of people in attendance, it was pretty obvious that South Australians are just thirsting for new places to go to. And I imagine how great it would feel if we were to go back to the Philippines or go visit Hong Kong or Singapore. We can do shopping online 24/7, but there is just something with being able to handle merchandise before buying it.

Making sure to beat the mad rush in going home, we decided to leave at about 4pm. Quite a few people had the same idea, but going back seemed less stressful than heading in.

Over all, I say going to Gepps X would be great if you knew where you were going and what you would buy. That way you can pretty much have an idea where to park. But if you were thinking about going on a food or bladder break, then get set for long walks and stressful lines.
