Turning on Tweetie, I noticed that one of the hottest topics on Twitter today is the release of WordPress 2.8 – Baker, and realizing the fact that since 2.7.1, I could update my installation with just a click of a button, I did what any normal WordPress fan would and clicked.
Straight away I noticed that this new version is definitely faster and more convenient specifically when it comes to themes and widgets. I used to hate having to change my theme for any reason since this meant having to wait for WordPress of display what my site would look like with the selected theme. Well, not anymore.
Now if I weren’t cooking up a new look for this blog but want some changes done, I could now search and install community made themes without having to leave my dashboard! Now that’s convenient!
To know more about WordPress 2.8 – Baker and its new features, head on over to the WordPress Blog and watch the video. This is definitely a must upgrade for all users of WordPress.
