Batman: Arkham Asylum

Tomorrow, the caped crusader will officially reach Australian consumers’ hands in the latest game offering by Rocksteady Studios, Batman: Arkham Asylum.

My Excitement has been building up to the extent that I have already downloaded the Joker challenge map DLC even before I actually have the game. I don’t know why, its not like it was going to run out of stock or anything. But just being free and all, I wanted to just have it at hand right away.

And since gaming is the subject, I was finally able to download and install firmware 3.0 for the PS3 yesterday, and although it was good to have something new, the changes really didn’t seem to be that much for me. In fact, the screen has become more like an ad for the Playstation Store than anything else. Not that its bad or anything. I do occasionally visit the store to download product demos and themes, but hopefully there would be a way to turn things down (or better yet, off) so that the feature does not eventually become the Playstation Sore.

Overall, with the new PS3 Slim, the slew of highly anticipated games just around the corner and the new firmware makes Sony’s console finally within reach price wise, and probably a gift that a lot of gamers would definitely love for the coming holiday season.
