Goodbye Tatay

Today seemed like any other weekend in the past couple of weeks… me waking up early to do some overtime at work. And as usual, I turn to check my emails and other messages just before I go. So it was such bad news to see on Facebook that Kitchie’s grandfather, whom she was very fond of, has passed away sometime during the night before.
The news totally got us off guard, and pretty much put the weekend in a very sad tone. If I weren’t already committed to going to work, I would’ve just stayed home for Kitchie was very upset.
Talks with family and friends did help to calm her down and think about things… and the first thing in our minds is if she could go home to pay her last respects.
Good night Tatay. You will be missed.
