Ready for his next step

Every parent goes through the stage of having their child go to school for the first time. It is a bittersweet moment… your kid goes off to learn new things, but then again, you want to cling on to those times where you have him all the time.

This is how Kitchie and I feel, especially since Tim is turning 5 this March. So imagine our surprise when we went to have a look at a school we were eyeing for our little Padawan. We were informed that it was best for our little boy to start as soon as possible since school just commenced. This means… he starts Monday!

In the span of a couple of hours, we went from inquiry to enrolment, the buying of uniforms and bags, arranging for other things as well as ensuring that we terminate Tim’s previous arrangements with his kindergarten and childcare.

We were all very excited to have him in the new school that we totally forgot about having him do a proper farewell to his other teachers and carers. After having a talk with the new school, we were able to change his starting date to Tuesday instead. Monday will be spent in his old school as well as Tim’s old man trying to figure out how to juggle the time since the new school is a bit further away.

Nonetheless, this is all about Timothy and the next chapter to his life. So here’s to our son, may he do well in school and all his other endeavours.
