This would be the first time we were to visit our place in Pasig since Ondoy, and I am happy to see my family getting back on their feet.
As we are pressed with time, Timothy and I went ahead to go to see lola Cynthia and uncle Jon while mommy stayed back to spend some more time with her friends from school and work.
A lot of the things that were familiar to me have either been washed away, or suffered the slow rot due to water damage and other things.
Remnants of the flood were still pretty evident. Some areas that were a bit hard to reach still displayed the stains from where the flood waters have risen and would have to wait since there are more important thins my family has to attend to.
I am not one to complain though, since everything we lost can be replaced. The important part is that my family is healthy and safe. It was good to be back, and to be able to see how we can help and the things that still need work.
We would have wanted to help more than we actually have so far. But for now, I hope that being able to spend time with them can raise their spirits up even just a little. The time spent with our little Padawan hopefully alleviated some of the worries and stress that they may have had on their minds.
Despite our geographic locations, we are never really far away from each other.
