It has been a very long time since last we visited our grandmother in Bataan. So it was really wonderful to be able to spend some time with her.

Timothy has never seen his great grandma before, not even in pictures. So imagine his excitement when we told him about the impending visit. He did not stop talking about how happy he was and how excited he is to be able to see her.

Now keep in mind that he has never actually been able to be in close contact with the elderly. He sees them back home and during our visit here in the Philippines, but there was never a time where he was in close contact with them. So upon setting his eyes on his great grandma, he was taken aback. He did not cry or run away, he just did not want to approach her straight away even when we were with him.

There was a bit of discussion between father and son, and after a few minutes, he eventually went over to her bedside to talk a little bit. There was a hug and a kiss, but I was so happy that I was unfortunately unable to take a photo of it.

We were told that our grandma is having difficulty recognizing people, so I was pretty certain that she had no clue as to who we were. But seeing how she smiled when Timothy was talking to her made me realize that she knows this little boy is significant in her life as well. I just hope she actually knows who our Padawan is.
