Celebrating with the Rico Hizon

I have been working with Rico Hizon for a few years now for several websites including Good News Pilipinas and Art Sentral Asia, but this was actually the first time that I get to spend time with the man, his whole family and some of his closest friends to celebrate his birthday.

The event was held at Fish out of Water, in Greenbelt 5, Makati. Various celebrities from the art scene as well as the media were slowly filling up the place as Timothy, Kitchie and I arrived.

It did not take long for Rico to spot us. Introductions were made and soon after, Tim and his son Migo were already playing as if they were long lost friends.

The food was great, and the company was even better. I got the chance to meet with some of the biggest names in the art scene which was in itself a wonderful experience for me, especially being able to meet world renowned artist, BenCab. I tell you, I made sure to get some photos of myself with these masters, and I could not stop talking about it afterwards!

Today however, is Rico’s day and with that, my family and I would like to greet you a very happy birthday. We are so honored to spend this wonderful occasion with you.

I would have wanted to use a photo that had me in it, but unfortunately, the ones that were taken of me were more on the unfocused side.
