Lent 2010

Lent is the time of the year we reflect upon the importance of Christ in our lives. For an aspiring photographer, this gives you the chance to take photos that showcase how faith and art intertwine.

I’ve seen the procession two times before. But none of them were from the rooftop of the Alejo family which, most say is one of the prime locations during events such as these.

To the uninitiated, the Alejo family are those responsible for bringing us the ever popular La Familia restaurant. This means that not only do we have a bird’s eye view of the procession, we also got wonderful food waiting for us straight after.

I got the chance to know a little bit more about Kitchie’s younger cousins, especially on how much they are into photography and the arts as well as how connected they are with their own community. Pretty smart stuff from such young pretty girls!

Timothy however was a bit under the weather today, so he only got to see about 3 of the presentations before Kitchie decided to get him indoors to take some medicine and rest. I’m guessing that its more of just a change in temperature, just coming back from Boracay. But we all hope he gets well soon nonetheless.

This was also another opportunity to learn more about photography from Kitchie’s cousin Nicko, who seems to never get tired from all my questions and other queries. He is such a nice guy that I do not hesitate to let people know that if you need a photographer for an event (wedding or otherwise), He and his wife Jhen are the people to call.
