Roaming around

What a great feeling it is to be able to go to such a beautiful place in the city and be able to take in the sites and enjoy the great food with family. Timothy experiences Rockwell, and Serendra (us three) the first time.
I have never liked crowds. There are times when I am forced to go into the fray, but I try to avoid them as much as I can. So this nighttime visit to Rockwell and Serendra was perfect! Granted that we still had to go through terrible traffic jams, but the end result was well worth it.
The most notable was when Jon treated us to a fancy dinner at Mogu, a Japanese restaurant at the heart of Serendra. There are several Japanese restos in Australia, but none of them really have the variation that I have grown accustomed to in the Philippines. I especially liked their maki and the fried ice cream.
Another thing… ever since we arrived, I have been hearing about “Fully Booked” from A LOT of different people. Come to think of it, it was almost a full-fledged hype. I didn’t have a clue what it was until I asked the third person who told me about it. “A bookstore” he said, and I should have known.
The place was huge! I think it was somewhere between 4-5 storeys of nothing but reading material! I felt a bit sad because the last bookstore I knew of that was popular was “Powerbooks”. And it was a bit ironic as well since this was also the year that I was totally hooked on audiobooks. Kitchie totally enjoyed it though… she’s still an avid and traditional book reader.
We leave the place with a full stomach and satisfied eyes. Thanks again to uncle Jon and lola Cynthia for the great food and wonderful time.
