Something pretty interesting and heartwarming happened today as the three of us were on our way out of Woolworth’s in Rundle Mall. A lady minding people leaving the store asked politely if she could check my camera bag.

Being used to procedures like these even back in the Philippines, I did not hesitate and started opening the bag up and show that I had nothing to hide.

Timothy, being a witness to the event then looked at Kitchie and told the lady: “He’s got nothing! He pays for everything!”

The woman quickly replied to him: “I’m sure he does!” and then smiled at the three of us.

It was pretty cool seeing my son stand up for me… and I was pretty relieved that he left it at that. On the way home I was thinking that it was good Tim did not respond to the lady with “Then why do you need to check his bag?”
