I always thought that the design of a certain website no matter how good it is, must undergo even just a little bit of change every year, just to keep things fresh and interesting. For The Telecommuter, I thought it best to have a design revamp every year.
Turning on Tweetie, I noticed that one of the hottest topics on Twitter today is the release of WordPress 2.8 – Baker, and realizing the fact that since 2.7.1, I could update my installation with just a click of a button, I did what any normal WordPress fan would and clicked.
Barely having time left for not-so-essential internet activities, I have certainly racked up quite a bit of backlog. Fortunately, I did get some time to clean up my work.
I breathe a bit easier these days having finally been able to complete the BenCab Museum website. And what an experience it has been, having a sneak peak at the museum through the eyes of their photographers. It makes me feel that I was actually there.
I have started using WordPress as a back end for the sites I am handling more and more now. What actually won me over was the clean interface and the ease of use.
Being nominated back in 2006 in one of the Philippine’s most prestigious web awards alone is enough to inspire anyone to further improve their craft.
After careful planning, research and a bit of bumming around, I finally got off my lazy behind to update my version of WordPress… and boy am I liking it!
